Belong - Attachment and Trauma Informed Schools

Now in its second year, the Virtual School’s attachment and trauma practice network, Belong, is a fully funded two year programme for schools in Trafford. Participants will achieve post-graduate credits, contribute to research, and lead change within their schools.

The purpose of the network is to develop attachment and trauma responsive practice in schools so that:

• All staff have awareness and understanding of the role of attachment and trauma in learning and development
• Staff feel confident about how to support children with unmet attachment needs and trauma
• Attendance increases for all children, particularly the most vulnerable
• Exclusions reduce
• Educational progress improves
• Staff and child well-being is enhanced
